I'm trying not to editorialize... but this has got to be, in my humble opinion, one of Jackie's biggest quirks: She won't eat ice cream outside of Ice Cream Season.
I know -- Ice cream has a season?
According to Jackie, ice cream follows the same season as white shoes: between Easter and Labor Day. She won't eat ice cream outside of that. Seriously -- I've tried to con her into it. I think I've done it once -- and that was on a road trip in December and there was a Dairy Queen in the middle of nowhere and we were slap happy and starving. But other than that, she won't budge on Ice Cream Season.
(I think she's trying to lobby Congress to get this officially declared... but damn that Ben & Jerry and their powerful political action committee.)

Quirk #3 - Peanut Butter
Ok, so this is a new one I learned about today: my friend Jackie does not like peanut butter. Not at all. (Funny -- Joodee likes peanut butter... but not peanut butter and chocolate. How can you not like that? But I digress... this isn't about Joodee's quirks... it's about Jackie.)
So anyway, add "no peanut butter" to this list.

Quirk #2 - Popcorn
As Joodee points out, our friend Jackie worked at a movie theater in high school. So she hates popcorn -- the look of it, the taste of it, the smell of popcorn. ESPECIALLY the smell of it. So it really makes her crazy when someone in the office burns a bag and that stinks up the place for a week. But she has banned popcorn at home. Seriously -- she sends her hubby and kid out into the garage to eat it.
A Friendly Disclaimer
Just in case anyone is concerned that my friend Jackie is upset or annoyed or seriously peeved about this blog, not to worry.
As she said herself earlier today: "I really see this as a training manual... a guide to help train people so I don't have to mess with that."
So she has many quirks... but she also has a wicked sense of humor :)

Quirk #1 - Orange Juice
For my friend Jackie, orange juice must have the following characteristics:
1) Be not-from-concentrate
2) Be FULL of pulp -- "I want to chew my orange juice. I want it to leave a residue on my glass. I want
there to be so much pulp on the glass that you have to rinse it off or throw it away."
(I will try to refrain from personal editorial comments about her quirks, like how WRONG pulp is...)

My Friend Jackie
My friend Jackie has a number of quirks... ok, a LOT of quirks. So, in an attempt to keep her friends up to date on the specifics, I've created this blog just for her.
